About
Artist with a multifaceted personality, seeks synthesis by making different strands coexist.
The thought that is reflected in the work is never univocal, but interprets energy or silence with gesture, color and material.
Josine moved from an initial figurative period, with a predilection for portraits and drawings, to a phase in which she studied the human figure dissolved in color, with research into ancient monochrome composition in relation to the informal, to then arrive at gestural informal.
The strength of line, shape and color, create parallel worlds that bring us closer to the metaphysical reality, a reality that we just seem to guess in flashes without knowing more.
Thus, the artist’s creation becomes the symbol of the human search for something superior, arousing associations with immaterial facts such as time, space and sound.
“The concretization of the abstract and the abstraction of the concrete in art are the reflection of the creative process of nature, with its perpetual metamorphoses ” (Archipenko).
